THE mother of a toddler awaiting a fourth major heart operation fears they could end up homeless after the Government stopped his disability benefits.
Riley Lewis is thought to be the only child in the world with six separate heart defects. Doctors were amazed he survived birth and his mum Michelle Lewis lives in constant fear the three-year-old will suffer cardiac arrest.

But the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) told Michelle that Riley is a “normal boy” and no longer eligible for Disability ­Living Allowance (DLA). The decision of the department headed by former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith also means Michelle’s carer’s allowance has been stopped and her child tax credits cut by £300.
