Do We Need To Fear Police Down South?

Street Democracy - where it should reach - Our Streets!

Three police officers suspended after footage emerges of one of them apparently PUNCHING shoplifter as they detain him in department store

Street Democracy writes:

The police officers punch him so hard the man drops immediately on to the floor. He is handcuffed so is no threat to the officers, all of whom are well built men.

Witnessing police brutality brings a breeding ground for fear, trust issues and divisions between the public and police officers.

If policing can mean, that some may have a boundless appetite for issuing personal punishment in the form of a beating, we as the public have much to fear.

What if it was a misunderstanding, mistaken identity, the wrong person then this behaviour would be inexcusable?

This story encapsulates a grim and dismal out look on modern day policing with our police officers being permanently militarised in their uniforms, which now seem to reflect their perception upon civilians and society.
